UTalento is a career guidance platform for secondary schools, used in Spain and Sweden. For a student it is one place to work out what suits them and see where each path actually leads in their own country: what it asks for, where it ends up, and what the work is really like. For a counselor it means arriving at every conversation already knowing who the student is, so guidance reaches the whole year group and not only the few who book a meeting. For the school it is guidance that runs in its own language and its own education system, set up in an afternoon, and nothing about an individual student ever leaves the school.

Young people at the stage where they choose what comes after upper secondary, and the adults around them: the counselor, the orientador or studie- och yrkesvägledare, and the teachers who see them every week. Schools are who we work with, and a student reaches it through their school.

Not as translations of one page: a Spanish student needs ponderaciones and notas de corte, a Swedish one needs meritvärde and what an utbildning leads to, and a product that only really knows one of those cannot answer the other one’s question. Short things, mostly. You answer a few questions about what interests you and what you value, you try small tasks that show what you are like rather than asking you to describe it, and you look at real routes into real places: what they ask for, and where they lead. Ten minutes at a time is a perfectly normal way to use it.

No. No result closes a path, nothing opens or shuts on a number, and you are never ranked against your classmates. Where AI helps, it prepares and suggests; a person makes every judgement that matters. If we ever tell you what to be, we have got it wrong.

You, and the adults at your school whose job is to guide you. Nobody else. What you say to the guide stays between you and the guide, your personality read is never shared with anyone, and no company and no university ever sees anything about you as an individual. That boundary is held by tests over our own code, not only by a page like this one.

Three things in order: what you are actually like (what holds your attention, what you value, what you are good at without trying), where real paths lead and what they ask for, and then a small piece of the work before you commit years to it. Most tools do one of the three. UTalento does all three, in that order, inside your school, with a counselor who can see the same picture you do.

That is the normal starting point, and it is where this works best. Nobody chooses well from a blank page; you choose by reacting to real options and ruling things out. Start from what you do well without effort and what people come to you for, then check it against something more reliable than your own memory. Strengths are easier to see from outside than from inside, which is why a self-report on its own is weak. UTalento reads yours from what you actually do in short tasks rather than from what you say about yourself, and puts them in words you can use in an application or in a conversation with your counselor.

It will change most jobs and delete few of them outright. The repetitive parts go first, and roles are being reshaped around what is left. What protects you is choosing with that in view: knowing which parts of the work you are heading toward are exposed and which are not. UTalento shows what a path actually involves and where it is heading, kept current, so it is part of the decision rather than a shock afterwards.

Choose for the skills a path builds, not only for the job title at the end of it. The ones that hold their value are the ones that transfer: judgement, working with people, and being able to pick up the next tool quickly. UTalento shows what each route builds as well as where it leads, and keeps the labour-market picture current, so a choice made this year is not made on figures from five years ago.

Time, and reach. One counselor carrying several hundred students ends up doing triage, and the students who never ask are quietly the ones who never get seen. This is built so the counselor arrives at a conversation already knowing who the student is and what was agreed last time, so the meeting starts where it used to finish, and so the part of the year group that never came to the door is visible too.

No, and a school would be worse for trying. Guidance works because a person who knows the student has a conversation with them. What software can take away is the administration around that conversation. What it gives back is the time to have more of them.

Less than a timetable change. A school is created, classes are added, and staff join with an invite and declare their own role. Students join their class with a code. There is no integration project, nothing has to be exported out of your student information system to begin, and there is no training day: anyone who has used a spreadsheet can use this.

What their role allows, and no more. A counselor sees the students they guide, by name, because guidance without a name is not guidance. A teacher sees a narrower view of their own classes. School-wide figures are aggregates only, and any group under three is suppressed so a number can never point back at one child. A student’s private conversations with the guide are in none of those views.

The stage where students decide what comes after upper secondary, so Bachillerato and FP in Spain and gymnasiet in Sweden, plus the earlier programme or itinerary choice for the year groups actually standing at it. It is not built for the younger years.

All stored data lives with providers inside the EU, under GDPR. We are the processor, your school is the controller, and the full list of subprocessors is in the privacy notice. There are no ad trackers anywhere in the product.

No, never, in any form. Nothing about an individual student is sold or shared outside the school, and that includes the aggregate views: we do not build a school figure in a way that could point back at one student, and no university ever receives anything about a young person from us. We stay deliberately out of the business of sending students to universities, because that business has a different customer and it would put this promise up for sale.

Yes, carefully, and no. It helps read documents a school gives it, prepare material, and power the companion a student can talk to. It supports judgement and never makes a decision about a young person on its own. Every result is advisory, and nothing it reads about a student leaves that student’s school.

Deactivating an account cuts access immediately. A school can ask for its data to be exported or deleted, and we act on it. Leaving is a normal thing for a school to do, and it should not be the moment you discover you are locked in.

From two halves. The most validated science available on how people differ and what predicts doing well at something, taken from published work rather than invented here. And the most reliable information each country holds about its own education system and its own labour market: what is offered, what it asks for, and where it leads. Neither half is worth much alone, and joining them to one student’s situation is where the years of work went.

Where an official figure is unknown or out of date, we say so instead of filling the gap. A counselor should be able to quote what they see here without checking it first, and that is the whole point.
