The Arts Bachillerato is the modalidad for those who want to make creating their work. It has two tracks: Visual Arts, Image and Design, focused on drawing, design and image, and Music and Performing Arts, focused on music, theatre and dance.

Not every school offers the Arts Bachillerato, and fewer offer both tracks. If it interests you, ask early which schools in your area teach it.

04

What you can study after the Arts Bachillerato

The most common choices. Not a closed list.

  1. University degrees

Fine Arts, Design, Media Studies, Art History, Conservation and Restoration, Advertising.

  2. Higher arts education

Design, Visual Arts, Conservation and Restoration, Music, Dance and Drama, at higher schools and conservatoires.

  3. Vocational and applied arts courses

05

How to tell if it is your modalidad

Ask yourself whether you want art at the centre of your studies, not only as a hobby. Two years of Drawing or Music take steady practice and often work outside class.

If you are not sure you want to work in the arts, remember that any Bachillerato modalidad gives access to any university degree. What changes is which subjects you take into the PAU and which can be weighted for the degree you want. Talk to your school counselor about what suits you.
